Winifred M. McKain, 87, Delphos, Kansas, died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born January 10, 1922 to Ernest and Mary (Hogg) Lynch. On March 31, 1941 she was united in marriage with Robert S. McKain; he preceded her in death on October 24, 2006.
Winifred was a homemaker and she was a member of the Friendly Neighbor Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary all of Delphos.
Survivors include her sons, Gary McKain and his wife Diane and Glendon McKain and his wife Kay all of Delphos; her daughter Ruth Ann Matheson and her husband Tom of Olathe; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday at the Delphos United Methodist Church with burial in the Delphos Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Sunday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home where the family will receive friends until 4 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the Delphos Museum.
