Wilma Ruth Fox, 81, Minneapolis, met her Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Wilma was born May 12, 1928 in Minneapolis, Kansas to Ray and Agnes (Gawith) Allison.
Wilma was a graduate of Minneapolis High School and she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Council of Catholic Women, and V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 3201 all of Minneapolis.
She was united in marriage with Garrett Fox on August 7, 1964 in Salina.
Wilma was a telephone operator and bookkeeper for many years in Long Beach, California, Kodiak, Alaska, Salina, and Minneapolis. Wilma and Garrett owned and operated Fox Electric Company in Minneapolis. Some of her pastimes were playing bridge, computer, and knitting which she enjoyed teaching friends and family the art of knitting.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Susan (Mick) Supina of Prescott, Arizona and Carol (Lester) Dickerson of Salina; her son, Mark Fox of Minneapolis; her brothers, Darrel (Carol) Allison of Arkansas City, Kansas and Robert (Janice) Allison of Grove, Oklahoma; her sisters, Marjorie Wallace, Illa Rae (Warren) Harder, and Phyllis (Max) Marler all of Minneapolis; four grandchildren, Andrew Supina of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, Stacey Keatings of St. Paul, Minnesota, Amanda White of Aurora, Colorado, and Jonas Brown of Hutchinson, Kansas; and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Lohrmeyer officiating . Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home where a prayer vigil and rosary will be at 7 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 3201, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, or Love, INC and may be left in care of the funeral home.
