Obituary

Wanda Elaine (Rush) Temple, 72, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Wanda was born on February 22, 1938, in Marquette, Kansas, to Nelson Gust and Ruth Anna Victoria (Sunquist) Rush, one of five children.
On October 5, 1956, she was married to Francis Temple and happily married for 53 years and raised five children. They settled in Omaha, where she was employed at Mid-Continent Bottling Company for 26 years, then moving to Lincoln in 2000, where she was presently employed with Lincoln Public Schools. Wanda will be remembered for her love of gardening, cooking and love of birds, but most of all she will be remembered for her endless love of family and friends.
Surviving family members include her husband, Francis; five children and their spouses, Richard and Jana Temple, of Bartlett, Alan and April Temple and Doug and Jolene Temple, all of North Dakota, and Brad and Pam Allen, of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers and their spouses, Ken and Nancy Rush, of Gypsum, Kan., and Leland and Pam Rush, of Salina, Kan.; and a sister and her spouse, Beverly and George Rutkoskie, of Florida.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Temple; parents; and sister, Virginia May.
Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 23, at the Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 'O' St., Lincoln 68510, with Debbie Way officiating. Visitation will be at 12 Noon with an additional service at 2 P.M. Saturday, April 24, at the Wilson-Shields Funeral Home, 405 Argyle, Minneapolis, KS 67467, with burial in Tescott, Kan.
