Virgil Kiedar "Sid" Sidders was born June 8, 1944 in Moorland, Oklahoma. He died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Roy, and a grandson. His parents were Virgil L. Sidders and Illa Faye Bodenheimer.
Illa later married John Peters, also deceased. They had one son, Pernell.
Survivors include a sister, JoVena Anderson of Formoso, Kansas, and a brother Pernell Peters of Topeka, Kansas. He also leaves a companion and caregiver, Charlene Nichols of Ada, Kansas.
Virgil moved to Winfield at the age of ten. He attended school in Woodward, OK, Winfield, KS and Mankato, KS.
Virgil was married to Patricia Ross of Formoso and to this union was born a son, V. Kiedar Sidders of Oklahoma, and a daughter Heather Burk of Texas. He had three grandchildren. Other survivors include cousins, numerous nieces and nephews. He also had six great nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A private inurnment will be in Balch Cemetery, Formoso, Kansas at a later date.
