Vincent J. Pieschl, Jr. was born on July 4, 1928 in Minneapolis, KS and entered eternal life on October 6, 2020 at the age of 92 after a gradual decline and a worn-out body.

Vince was a lifelong resident of Ottawa County, living on his farm south of Minneapolis for 70 years. He attended K-State and was an enthusiastic Wildcat. In addition to farming, he co-founded North Central Steel, serving many Kansas and beyond farmers and ranchers with grain bins, steel buildings and feed mills. He had the gift of salesmanship and developed friendships with many of his customers.

Vince faithfully attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and participated in many church and community projects and activities including the Knights of Columbus (4th Degree Knight). He was also a supporter and volunteer for Love, Inc. and over his lifetime donated 100 gallons of whole blood to the American Red Cross. Of all his accomplishments, he was most proud of his family including 7 children, 24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.

Vince was preceded in death by Gloria Pieschl, his wife of 50 years; his parents, Vincent J. Pieschl, Sr. and Ollie (Wolfesperger) Pieschl; his brother Francis "Bones" Pieschl; infant siblings James and Rosemary; daughter-in-law Koleen Pieschl and infant grandson, Thomas Lawrence Williams, Jr.

He is survived by his brothers, DeVere Pieschl of Healy, AK and Richard Pieschl of Minneapolis; his children, Sandy Pickert of Wichita, Vincent "John" Pieschl III (Debra) of Casa Grande, AZ, Rosemary (Stan) Linderman of Tempe, AZ, Paula Baccus and Phil Pieschl both of Minneapolis,  Susan (Tom) Williams of ElDorado, and Mike (Vicky) Pieschl of Gannett, ID;  his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of friends and extended family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:30 P.M., Saturday, October 10 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis.  Due to COVID-19, only family will attend. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Friday at the church where a vigil and rosary service will start at 7:00 P.M.  Memorials may be made to the church or Love, INC and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
