OBITUARY
Victor R. Muller
MINNEAPOLIS—Victor R. Muller, 84, passed away Fri., Aug. 22, 2008 at his home in rural Minneapolis. The son of Victor W. Muller and Florence (Becker) Muller, he was born September 16, 1923 on a farm in Ottawa County.
He served in the U. S. Army in World War II, seeing combat in the Philippines, where he won the Bronze Star for heroism. He later served in the Army of Occupation in Japan.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy Peterson June 22, 1947 in Lindsborg, KS. All their married life was spent farming and ranching south of Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Margaret A. Muller.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy of the home; a son Paul V. of Tescott; and daughters Jean Welch and husband Tim of Topeka and Gail Flint and husband Phil of Carriere, MS; a sister Donna Dietz and husband Robert of Alma, NE; three grandchildren, Melanie Doering, Tom Haworth and T. Paul Welch; a step-granddaughter Tiffany Montes; a great-grandson Tyler Doering and two step-great-grandsons Dustin Welch and Ashten Montes.
The funeral will be at 2 P. M. Wed. at the Wilson Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis with burial in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be 2 to 8 P. M. Tues. at the funeral home. Memorials to the Salvation Army in care of the funeral home.
