Vada G. Bronson, 94, of Minneapolis, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis. She was born January 10, 1932, near Minneapolis, the daughter of Edwin Henry and Evelyn (McClellan) Lott.

After graduating from high school, Vada attended nurses training and began a career devoted to caring for others. She worked as a nurse for Drs. Wedel when they came to Minneapolis and remained with them until their retirement.

Following her nursing career, Vada continued caring for others by providing daycare in her home. The children she cared for held a special place in her heart, and she treated each of them as part of her own family. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed the simple pleasures of time spent at home surrounded by those she loved.

Vada's home was often the gathering place for her family. Her porch became the setting for many Sunday morning "Lott Coffees," where family gathered to visit, laugh, share stories, and enjoy one another's company. Those gatherings became a treasured family tradition and reflected the warmth and hospitality Vada brought to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben; children, Rich Bronson, Jean "Beans" Nelson, and Jack Bronson; grandson, Josh Nelson; and brothers, Willis, Don, and Milt.

Vada is survived by her son, Paul; daughter-in-law, Kay Bronson; son-in-law, Fred Nelson; siblings, Tom, Glen, Linda, Curt, and Ruth; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and the many daycare children whose lives she touched throughout the years.

At Vada's request, cremation has been chosen and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to Oakview at the Ottawa County Health Center and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
