Theresa "Terri" A. Penn, 45, Minneapolis, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita. Terri was born January 18, 1965 in Salina, Kansas to Dean A. and Illa Rae (Sumnicht) Johnson.
Terri was raised in Minneapolis and was a graduate of Minneapolis High School. She was united in marriage with Michael Penn on January 3, 1987 in Minneapolis. Terri worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for many years at City Pharmacy in downtown Minneapolis. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, P.E.O., Cub Backers, Lion Backers, and the Kansas Pharmacists Association.
Survivors include her husband Mike of the home; her sons Weston and Trenton Penn both of the home; her parents Dean and Illa Rae Johnson of Minneapolis; and her brothers Lance Johnson of Minneapolis and Kent Johnson of Salina.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 18 at the First United Methodist Church, Minneapolis with Pastor April Wegehaupt officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may sign the register book from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Monday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. The casket will remain closed at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Penn Boys Education Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
