On Thursday, January 28, 2021,  Tanya Watkins, passed away at the age of 61.  She was surrounded by loved ones at her passing.

Tanya was born on August 23, 1959, in Salina Kansas. She was a loving mother and great friend to those who knew her.

Her interests included fishing, gardening, and camping. She also enjoyed riding her four-wheeler, country drives and exploring cemeteries. She would spend many a night above a dark river, bating hooks and cutting those pesky snapping turtles off the line.

A country girl at heart, she moved to the country several years ago and has raised farm animals, including many beloved goats.

For 31 years, Kenneth Myers has been a loving companion and friend to Tanya.

Tanya was preceded in death by her mother, Pat (Trow) Jackson, and is survived by her father, Jim Jackson, daughter, Phelicia Jackson; her siblings, Tammy Dee Hyman and Tommy (Kari) Trow, a niece and three nephews, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and great nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held March 24, 2021, at Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis, KS at 1:30 pm.
