Steven K. Stepanek, 59, Minneapolis, died Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Salina Regional Health Center. He was born April 4, 1967, in Iowa City to William J. Stepanek and Ruth (Voelkel) Stepanek.

Steve graduated from Linn High School, Linn, KS in 1985. He worked as a welder and also at Advanced Auto Parts. Steve was a member of the Community Bible Church, Minneapolis.

Steve was a friend to everyone, and he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He knew God was with him throughout his illness and the pain he endured. Steve never complained about what he was going through. He loved telling people about Jesus Christ. He will be missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother; brothers, Jon and Darin; and stepsister, Kellie Wiggins.

Survivors are his father and stepmother, Bill and Sharon Stepanek; brother, Larry Stepanek; half-brothers, Kenny, Mike, and David Mullnix; half-sister, Cheri Brumwell; and stepbrothers, Leland Loy and Leon Rumsey.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M., Friday, August 7, at the Community Bible Church, 929 N. Rothsay Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. The funeral will begin at 11:00 A.M., and burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials may be made to the Community Bible Church or the Salina Regional Health Foundation and will be used for the volunteer and valet programs.
