Sharon Kay
Tasker
Oct 31, 1943 — Jun 16, 2023
Bennington
Sharon Kay (Fisher) Tasker, 79, Bennington, passed away early Friday morning, June 16, 2023, at Brookdale Kirwin in Salina. Sharon was born October 31, 1943, to William and Geraldine (Hills) Fisher.
Sharon left this earth in peace while surrounded by the love of her children, who for this time with her will always be grateful. It was an incredible family time, that is, and was the true definition of love of family.
She was a 1962 graduate of Bennington High School and was a longtime resident of Bennington.
Sharon married Larry Tasker on September 16, 1962. Together they had a daughter, Sherry, and a son, Russell. Larry preceded her in death on November 22, 2015.
Sharon loved country music and she and Larry were excellent dancers. She loved stopping at every casino everywhere and at any time. Sharon also loved traveling to Branson.
She loved big hair, perfect clothing, and lots of bling. Sharon always looked beautiful, and she took great pride in her appearance.
Sharon loved her family and showing pictures of them to her friends and the staff at Brookdale.
She was a tiny woman with a big sparkling smile who turned out to be one tough cookie. Her strength was amazing.
Her family would like to express their heartfelt and sincere appreciation to the staff and friends at Brookdale who made her final days a true blessing.
Sharon leaves behind people who will always be in awe of her and miss her dearly.
Survivors are her daughter, Sherry Comfort and husband, Jeff of Bennington; son, Russell Tasker and wife, Debbie of Abilene; grandchildren, Brandy Olivier Jeglum and husband, Daniel of Plano, TX, Brooks Olivier and Kirsten of Salina; Matt Sidener and wife, Brooke of Manhattan, and Mark Sidener and Tori of Overland Park; great-grandchildren, Everly Rose and Mason Zander Jeglum of Plano, TX; half-sisters, Linda Boswell of Hazelwood, MO and Joanne Ferre of Corvallis, OR; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 20 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Private graveside services will be in Bennington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bennington E.M.S. and be left in the care of the funeral home.
