Ruth Constance (Page) Scoggan, Minneapolis, was born August 24, 1923, near O'Neill, NE, the fourth of six children. She passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the age of 92.
Mrs. Scoggan married Harold D. Scoggan on May 28, 1942. She taught elementary school for 25 years and she acquired a Master's Degree.
Ruth was always interested in children. She taught vacation bible school, Sunday school, children's church, and Good News Clubs for many years. Ruth enjoyed sewing and made between 300 and 400 quilts and quilt tops, donating many to charitable organizations.
Her husband, Harold; brother Daniel Page; and sisters Arleen Clyde and Carol Brooks preceded her in death.
Survivors include her five children, Philip and wife Renee of Beloit, Bruce of Lee's Summit, MO, Janet Halford and husband Richard of Pontiac, IL; Roger of Basehor, and Richard and wife Gladys of Cochabamba, Bolivia; brother David Page; sister Alice Page; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday at the Free Methodist Church, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 10 until service time Saturday at the church. Private burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Beloit. Memorials may be made to Women's Missions International.
