Ruth S. Geisen, 85, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis.
Ruth was born September 16, 1923 to Roy and Susanna (Friesen) Banks. She was a graduate of Solomon High School and she was a secretary for Wilson Constructors and Electrical Equipment both of Salina. Ruth was united in marriage with Dale "Slim" Geisen on July 20, 1960 in Minneapolis. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lee Roy Banks and her sister, Verneta June Bond.
Ruth is survived by her sister-in-law, Gay Geisen of Minneapolis; her special family, Paul, Paula, and Connor Christensen all of Minneapolis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home with the Rev. Helen Martin officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may sign the register book from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center or Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis and may be left in care of the funeral home.
