Rose M. Base, 82, Salina, died Saturday, September 24, 2022, in Salina. She was born March 25, 1940, in Salina to John Henry and Gladys (Jones) Skanks.

Rose loved to create silk floral arrangements and worked as a caregiver and in the kitchen at the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Shane; daughter, Susan; and siblings, Irene, Alma, Sylvia, Pearl, Raymond, and Samuel.

Survivors are her children, Don Base and his wife, Rhonda, John Base and his wife, Judy; and Robin Dukes and her husband, Lorenzo; sister, Patty Redford; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation without the family present will be Wednesday, September 28 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home with burial following in Culver Union Cemetery.
