Robert "Bob" Dale Stenfors of Minneapolis passed away surrounded by his family on May 2, 2018 after a lengthy illness. He was born July 19, 1948 in Salina to Kenneth and Edith (Peterson) Stenfors.
Bob grew up in Bennington and loved participating in Bulldog sports until his graduation in 1966. He married his high school sweetheart, Roberta Grace on November 14, 1970. They shared 47 years of marriage. After attending Hutchinson Community College, he graduated with a Business degree from Kansas State University.
Bob was in sales and an avid antique dealer. He always said the fun was in the chase. He and Roberta enjoyed over 40 years in their business, Stenfors Antiques, making many friends through their travels.
Bob lived every day to the fullest and never knew a stranger. His favorite things included Roberta, his family, Kansas State sports, NASCAR, wheat harvest, refinishing antiques, collecting farm toys, the HCC Ag students, buying and selling cars, and attending the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion with his brothers.
He will forever be remembered for his sincere interest in others, orneriness, joke telling, and never running out of something to say.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, LaVon "Smitty" Schmidt.
Survivors are his wife, Roberta, of the home; sister, Janice Schmidt of Bennington; brothers, Lyle (Nelda) of Laurie, MO, Keith (Delores) of Salina, Jack (Susie) of Bennington, and Bill (Kathi) of Manhattan.
Funeral services are 10:30 A.M., Monday, May 7 at the United Church of Bennington. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. The family encourages K-State or casual attire. Visitation is from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Memorials are to Minneapolis E.M.S. or the United Church of Bennington.
