Richard G. Moeckel, 78, Minneapolis, died Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis.

Richard was born April 22, 1943, in Hutchinson to Benjamin and Fern (Mays) Moeckel. He and Linda M. Keesling were united in marriage on August 18, 1963, in Sylvia. Richard graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Fort Hays State University. He and Linda lived in Meade, Overbrook, and Silver Lake before moving to Minneapolis to be with their family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Don and Merlin.

Survivors are his wife, Linda; son, Terry (Crista) Moeckel; grandsons, Tyler and Trent; and sister, Helen Hurst.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 20 at the First Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis.  Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Golden Wheel Senior Center and be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
