Richard L. Keim, 67, Delphos, Kansas, died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at his home.
Richard was born July 11, 1942 in Glasco, Kansas to Frank and Bernice (Smith) Keim. He was united in marriage with Deanna Alderson on October 31, 1959 in Delphos. She preceded him in death on March 22, 2005. He was a farmer and the former owner of D.K.'s in Delphos. Richard was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church in Delphos and he was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Concordia.
Survivors include his children, Dedra Parks and her husband Carmon of Delphos, Richard Lynn Keim and his wife Cheri of Wells, and Shanda Fruits and her husband Matt of Delphos; his brothers, Ronald Keim and his wife Joyce of Choctaw, OK and Melvin Keim and his wife Brenda of Tescott; his sister, Glenda Griest and her husband Dale of Nixa, MO; his grandchildren, Crystal Estep, Mandy Parks, Kristina Keim, Tara Keim, Christopher Fruits, Jerry Parks, Jenna Kendall, Shasta Schirlinger, and Hollie Fruits; and his great-grandchildren, Jason, Levi, Grace, Zoie, C.J., Ben, Devante, Demari, Sciotha, Lavayah, Marcus, and Caydan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Lohrmeyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home where a prayer vigil and rosary will be at 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas or the Nicol Home and may be left in care of the funeral home.
