Rex D. Miller, 52, Salina, died Sunday, November 23, 2008 in rural Ottawa County.
He was born November 14, 1956 in Salina, Kansas to John G. and Merrida (Hamilton) Miller. Rex was raised in Tescott and was a graduate of Tescott High School. He then went to Marymount College in Salina where he graduated with his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a minor in Music. He was united in marriage with Dawn Kampoo on October 24, 1981. Rex was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Salina and was currently working as a controller for Bennett Autoplex.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn of the home; his sons, Ricky of Salina and Jay of Gardner; his daughter, Rebecca Miller of Gardner; his granddaughter, Teaghan; and grandson, Tanner; sister, Mary Short and her husband Larry of Longview, Texas; his aunt, Olive Cornellisson of Minneapolis; his uncles, Jack Hamilton of McPerhson and Marian Hamilton of Colorado; and his nephews, John Miller and his wife Saundra of Salina and Brian Hamilton and his wife Tina of Salina..
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene, Salina. Family graveside services will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rex Miller Memorial Fund which will be designated later.
