Obituary

Norman Dale Watts, 73, Bennington, Kansas, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at his home. He was born in Bennington on January 13, 1937.
Norman was a truck driver for many years for Scheibler Truck Lines and Western Auto. Norman was united in marriage with Joyce Morton on March 18, 1960. He was a member of the United Church of Bennington, the Minneapolis and Bennington Saddle Clubs, and the Compassionate Friends.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Kellie Watts–Goodell on September 14, 2005; and his brother Bill Christensen.
Survivors include his wife Joyce of the home; son Kevin Watts and his wife Lu Ann of Brookville; son-in-law Craig Goodell of Lindsborg; brother Larry Watts of Salina; sister Wanda Priddy of Strong City; and two grandchildren Ashely Watts-Fuller and Dylan Goodell.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in the Bennington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The casket will be closed the day of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Norman Watts Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home. The funds will be divided among several charities at a later date.
