Obituary

Norman Ray Sheets died November 26, 2008 at age 87. Norman was born May 17, 1921, on a farm near Tescott, Kansas. During World War II, he served in the Army in the Pacific. He received a master's degree in agricultural economics from Kansas State University. He moved to Aloha, Oregon in 1974, and was an investigator for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was a volunteer for the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and served as president of its Washington County branch. Survivors include his wife Phyllis Doris (Van Meter) Sheets who he married in 1949, daughters, Sara Sheets, and Marla Mueller, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 P.M., Saturday at the Antioch Baptist Church in Ada. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until service time Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the church.
