Norma Moore passed away peacefully at the Ottawa County Health Center with her family at her side on Friday, February 10, 2017. She was born January 25, 1931 to Cecil and Hazel (Morgan) Allison.

In 1949, she graduated from Minneapolis High School and was united in married to Kendall Moore, December 18, of the same year. Norma worked for the Ottawa County Bank from 1950-1958. She and Kendall owned and operated Moore Lumber for many years. They built a home in Minneapolis where they raised their children and enjoyed their grandchildren for many years.  Her lawn and flowers were a showpiece for all to see in Minneapolis. Later in life, she was the office manager for Stanley Drevets, DDS for 20 years.

Norma loved her family, friends and KU basketball. She enjoyed dancing, golf, fishing, camping with friends, birds, and gardening. Many years ago she won the women's division in a golf tournament and Kendall won the men's division the next day.

Norma was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis where she served as a deacon, trustee, and on the memorial fund committee. Norma was a beautiful and caring woman and she loved her family more than anything. Norma always saw only the best in people and was probably the kindest, most thoughtful person you would ever meet. She was a source of everlasting love and support to all of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Norma and Kendall were blessed with two children, son Chuck Moore (Rachel) of Minneapolis and daughter Susan Moore Shaw (Dennis) of Naples FL; brother, Bob Allison (Shirley) of Minneapolis; sister, Dorothy Miller of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, C.J. Moore, Stacey Shipp, Morgan Moore, and Tobin Shaw; two step-grandchildren, Connor and Cobie Flegler; and six great-grandchildren, Andy Moore, Skyler, McKenna, Keylie, and Cutter Shipp, and Asher Shaw.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kendall on June 21, 1985; brother, Glen Allison; sister, Doris Grace;and special grandson Griffin Shaw.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 13, at the First Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Viewing will be from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis and the family will not be present. The family kindly requests no flowers and ask that memorials be given to the First Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Salina.
