Norma L. Baker, 89, Minneapolis, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Salina Regional Health Center. She was born May 13, 1926 in Lindsey to Paul and Elizabeth (Washburn) Bronson.
Norma was united in marriage with Kenneth Baker on June 14, 1947. She worked several jobs including the local dry goods store, a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, and housekeeper at the Ottawa County Health Center and Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis. Norma was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #3201 in Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenny in 2012; and siblings infant Bobby Dale, Ben Bronson, Paul Bronson, George Bronson, and Barb Bergman.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula Christensen and husband Paul; sister, Phyllis Good; grandchildren Connor Christensen and special friend Emily Tanner, Aaron and Amber Christensen, and Wade Christensen; great-grandson Layton Christensen and a great-granddaughter due in December.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday at the Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis and the family will not be present. Memorials may be made to the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3201.
