Mildred E. Stanley, 96, Bennington, passed away Monday, October 12, 2009 at Salina Regional Health Center. She was born July 31, 1913 on a farm west of Bennington to Carl Adam and Sarah Emmaline Burger Reh.
She was married to H. Albert Stanley January 29, 1933. They lived on the farm where she was born much of their married life. Her husband preceded her in death in 1989 after 56 years of marriage.
Mildred was a farm wife and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ and was a member of the Community Bible Church in Minneapolis.
Survivors include her son Delbert Stanley of Bennington and two daughters: Lee Hutchison of Overland Park and Judy Loy of Chapman; 12 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were her parents and her twin sister, Agnes Kuhlmann.
The funeral will be at 2:30 P.M. Friday, October 16 at the Community Bible Church in Minneapolis, with the Rev. Doug Neumann officiating. Burial will be in Bennington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 P.M. Thursday, October 15 at Wilson Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis, with the family present from 7 to 8 P.M.
