Mildred M. Allison, 91, Salina, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at her daughter's home in Excelsior Springs, MO. She was born February 21, 1920 in Minneapolis to John and Stella (Six) Santner.
Mildred attended school in Minneapolis and she was a 1938 graduate of Minneapolis High School. She was united in marriage with Richard K. Allison on April 13, 1941 in Minneapolis. Mildred worked at Putnam's as a seamstress for many years. She was also an avid quilter, gardener, and she loved to do her own canning. Her memberships included the Salina First United Methodist Church and the Hedville Ladies Club.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband on February 21, 2010.
Survivors include her children, Richard A. Allison of Utah, Darrell L. Allison and his wife Karen of KS, Dennis D. Allison and his wife Kathy of KS, and S. Dianne Kirby of MO; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M., Saturday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 P.M. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salina First United Methodist Church or Hospice Care of Kansas and may be left in care of the funeral home.
