Michael D. Scheibler, 61, Minneapolis, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at his home with his wife by his side. He was born May 15, 1961, in Salina to Richard D. and Alta A. (Abrams) Scheibler.

He moved to Bennington when he was six months old and remained a lifelong Ottawa County resident. He was a 1979 graduate of Bennington High School and he then worked as a Millwright for over 45 years. Michael enjoyed traveling, working with his hands, a good book, and his grandchildren. He was a "fix it guy" and there wasn't much he couldn't fix.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, who he loved dearly.

Survivors are his wife, Debra Scheibler; mother, Alta Scheibler; daughters, Rien (Jim) and Rilee; sons, Willie and Thomas; brothers, Steven (Joyce), Donald (Cristi), and David (Erica); seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 12 at Bennington Cemetery. If you have a doo rag, the family encourages you to wear it. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's and may be left in care of the funeral home.
