Michael C. Matthews, 63, Salina, died Friday, July 3, 2026, at his home. He was born October 25, 1962, in Lincoln, to Charles R. and Sarah JoAnn (Robershaw) Matthews.

He was a 1981 graduate of Tescott High School. Mike loved watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. His other passion was watching Perry Mason reruns and spending time with his cherished cat, Dominque.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his sister, Amy Matthews (Kevin Baker), his niece, Kelsey Matthews (Brandon Sanders); former wife and close friend, Carolyn Matthews; and his Uncle George Matthews.

It was Mike's wishes to cremated. Family memorial services will be this fall with burial in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott. Memorials may be made to Salina Grace and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
