Michael L. Hardesty, 50, Minneapolis, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis.
Mike was born June 29, 1959 in Salina, Kansas to John and Juanita (Jackson) Hardesty. Mike was united in marriage with Connie (Dir) Srack on August 7, 1981. He worked with his father for many years in the hay fields and he was a welder. Mike was an avid outdoors man.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Hardesty.
Survivors include his wife Connie of the home; his mother Juanita Hardesty of Minneapolis; his brother Dave Hardesty and his wife Cheryle of Minneapolis; his step-son Eric Srack and his wife Karlena of Salina; his grandchildren Jerith and Jerin Srack, Alex and Dahlten Sweat, Jesse Meyer, and Jamie Meyer and his wife Chelsea; his great-grandchild Jordan Meyer; and two nephews John Hardesty and his wife Shelby and Waylon Hardesty and his fiancée Krista Fraser.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Ottawa County.
