Max E. Boss passed from this life into God's kingdom on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Salina Regional Health Center.  He was born September 14, 1928 in Bennington to Glen and Ruth (Haywood) Boss.

Max was a lifelong Bennington resident and  a 1949 graduate of Bennington High School.  He went on to become a farmer and custodian of Bennington School. Max and Annabelle Quinn were united in marriage on March 27, 1949. They would have celebrated their 72 ^nd anniversary next spring.

Max had accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, and he was a loyal member of the Bennington Bible Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Bob, Don, Mae, Velda, Keith; infant brother, Harley; and great-grandson, Curtis Weiland.

Max is survived by wife, Annabelle; daughters, Nancy Spear (Stan), Marsha Gantvoort (Randy), Sondra Simon (Raymond); two sons, Ed Boss (Debra) and Tim Boss (Jetta); grandchildren, Jeremy Weiland, Wade Doering, Meredith Gleason, Dallas Cortes, Cody Buckner, Travis Boss, Melissa Talbott, Brie Gantvoort, Sadie Garrett; great-grandchildren, Luke and Owen Gleason, Gabriel and Emilia-Rose Talbott, Max Cortes, Elijah, and Sage Garrett.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, September 9 at the Bennington Cemetery.  Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 17 at the Bennington Bible Church.  Memorials may be made to the Bennington Bible Church, Bennington E.M.S. or the Bennington High School and may be mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O.
