Maurine Estella Arheart Rolph
Maurine Estella Arheart Rolph, age 92, died at the Ottawa County Health Care Center on June 2, 2008. Maurine, the daughter of Robert and Sylvia Arheart, was born on February 20, 1916, in her childhood home south of Delphos, Kansas.
She married Edward Maxwell (Max) Rolph on May 31, 1935, in Salina, Kansas. They made their home in or around Delphos, Kansas, for all the sixty-two years of their life together. Maurine was involved in many aspects of the community she loved so much. She was active in the United Methodist Church, PTA, Eastern Star, Rebeccas, UMW, and almost every community event. She adored her family and liked nothing better than to have her children and their friends in her home. Later that expanded to the joy of grandchildren and then great grandchildren. The more the merrier for Maurine.
Maurine was preceded in death by her husband and by son, Neal and son-in-law, Robert Aldridge. She is survived by Neal's wife, Janice of Minneapolis; son Richard and his wife Thana of Austin, Texas; daughter Jolene Aldridge of Delphos, and son Jack and his wife DeeAnn of Delphos; grandchildren Cindy Dautel, Cheri Mayott, Debra Gore, Robert Aldridge, Carla Aldridge, Kona Rarig, Shawn Rolph, and Marci Maschino; and great grandchildren Rikki, Lahra, Caleb and Joshua Dautel; Curtis and Karyn Mayott; Nolan and Matthew Gore; Alyssa and Emma Aldridge; Erin and Cody Rarig; Kelly, Meagan, and Marc Rolph; Sarah and Nicholas Maschino. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Arheart and his wife Virginia of Elkart, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Visistation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00. Memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center or the donor's choice.
