Obituary

James Maurice "Moose" Hally, 75, Delphos, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at his home.
Mr. Hally was born August 17, 1932 in Delphos, Kansas to Maurice James and Lenora (Blochlinger) Hally. He was united in marriage with Hala Tabula on March 15, 1980 in Delphos. Mr. Hally was a farmer and was the caretaker of the St. Paul's Cemetery near Delphos. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Delphos and was active in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Minneapolis. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Knights of Columbus Clown Club. He and Hala were known as Pork Chop and Chuckles the clowns for years at Special Olympic events.
Mr. Hally was preceded in death by his wife, Hala on January 9, 1996. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Rose Mary Alderson and Mary Clare McCullough.
Survivors include his step-daughters, Bonnie Trout of Minneapolis and Faunett Moyer of Orlando, Florida; two step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Delphos. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Sunday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home where a Prayer Vigil and Rosary will be at 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus or Special Olympics and may be left in care of the funeral home.
