Mary Helen Williamson was born January 14, 1942, the first child of Dan and Evelyn Williamson at the hospital in Concordia, KS. Mary passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at the Nicol Home in Glasco where she lived for seven years and received excellent care. She grew up on the family farm four miles northwest of Glasco, KS.

Mary married Larry Lavy on April 15, 1960, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She returned to Glasco to finish requirements to receive her high school diploma and graduated with the Class of 1960. She then joined Larry for his Army enlistment.

They were the parents of five children: Steve, Scott, Laurie, Tim, and Jeff. They lived mainly in the Midwest, Richardson, TX, and Kansas City. They later divorced.

Mary received her Bachelor's degree from Kansas Wesleyan.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Evelyn Williamson; children, Laurie and Tim; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Micah; brothers, Guy, Mike, John, David, Ken, and Joe; and sisters, Kay and Karen.

Mary is survived by children Steve, Scott, and Jeff; brothers Rob (Loralei), Boise, ID; Kevin, Glasco; Kieth "Ben", Glasco; sisters Nancy Briggs, Parsons, KS; Barbara Holste (Jerry), Manhattan, KS; Jean Hogan (Bert), Leesburg, FL; Joyce Hood (John), Concordia, KS; Linda Schmidt (Chad), Black Mountain, NC; sisters-in-law Mick Williamson, Bennington, KS; Nancy Williamson, Round Rock, TX; and Ione Williamson, St. Augustine, FL; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
