Marvin L. Alderson, 76, Delphos, died Friday, September 6, 2024, at his home. Marvin was born July 24, 1948, in Concordia to Marvin P. "Bub" and Frances M. "Chub" (Pounds) Alderson.

Marvin was a 1966 graduate of Delphos High School. He and Virginia Higle were married on May 19, 1972. Marvin worked several jobs throughout his lifetime; the most recent was being the City Superintendent of Delphos for 17 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mindi Carlson; and brother, Arnold Alderson.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Virginia; children, J.P. Alderson (Michelle), Lacy Alderson (Greg), Melody Ringer (Dustin), and Stephanie Furrow (Beau); sister-in-law, Dixie Alderson; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 11 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 12 at the Delphos Auditorium. Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Delphos ALIVE, Inc. and may be left in care of the funeral home.
