Mark Lundy McHenry, 80, Minneapolis, died Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. He was born June 15, 1934 in Rice, Kansas to Carl A. and Hazel I. (Lundy) McHenry.

Mark graduated from Delphos High School in 1952 and then attended Kansas State University where he played football. He returned to Delphos and married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Hubbard on September 5, 1954. Three children were born to this marriage. They relocated several times during the early years of their marriage while Mark was employed as a crane operator for a bridge contractor. After returning to the Delphos area, Mark drove a milk truck and later worked for John A. Nelson for several years. He then went to work farming for his father-in-law, Darrell Hubbard. Later as he continued to farm he started McHenry Order Buying where he was still active.

Mark was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Minneapolis where he held various positions. He served as a board member of the Delphos State Bank, a member of the Kansas Livestock Association, and was the district supervisor for the Ottawa County Conservation District. Mark received the outstanding community service award and was recognized as Who's Who distinguished citizen of the State of Kansas in 1975.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Dale and Paul Dean McHenry, and Mary Wealand; and grandson Mason McHenry.

Survivors include his fiancé Kelly Lorenzen of Minneapolis; children Jeff McHenry and wife Michele of Delphos, Craig McHenry and wife Kathy of Minneapolis, and Jill Cross and husband Brian of Lewis; sister Fern Willars of Lawrence; grandchildren Megan Endres, Molly Reilly, Kacia, Madison, and Jaidyn McHenry, and Clara and Clayton Cross; great-grandchildren Gracelyn Marrs, and Benjamin and Joseph Endres.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 16 at the First United Methodist Church, Minneapolis. Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center or the Ottawa County Fair Association.
