Mark H. Hoover, 69, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. Mark was born May 30, 1955, in Manhattan to Kenneth Hoover and F. Elizabeth (Isles) Hoover Powell.

He was a 1973 graduate of Manhattan High School. He worked for Dub Johnson and Sons, Inc., Coronado Engineering, and DesignPlast, Inc., where he retired from in 2022. Mark loved working on the road – seeing most of the United States. He always looked forward to his yearly trip to Sturgis for Bike Week in August.

Survivors are his wife, Cathy (Jones) Hoover of the home; daughters, Karma (Len) Hensley of Waynesville, NC and Calissa (Ben Marken) of Salina; brothers, Thomas Hoover of Manhattan and Robert (Janet) Hoover of Topeka; grandchildren, Bethany Lehman of Colorado Springs, CO, Katelyn Hensley of Canton, NC, and Riott and Rebel Marken of Salina; mother-n-law, Melba Kindall Jones Bruce of Minneapolis; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Tammy) Jones of Belton, MO and Mick (Teresa) Jones of Minneapolis; sister-in-law, Jodi Jones of Idaho City, ID; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mark donated his body to the University of Kansas Medical Center for research. Services will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
