Marjorie Jean (Cozad) Maholland passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Topeka, Kansas.
Marjorie was born February 8, 1930 in Barnard, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene and Eva Valeria (Armsbury) Cozad.
Marjorie worked for the United States Postal Service and retired as Postmaster. Most of Marjorie's life was centered around her family and friends and taking care of others' needs.
Marjorie married Neil Maholland on July 18, 1948 and they raised four children. She is survived by her loving husband, Neil; her wonderful sister, Joyce Peterson and her husband Neil of Hot Springs, Arkansas; her three sons, Terry and his wife Della of Ozark, Missouri, Jeffrey and his wife Sandy of Salina, Randy and his wife Karen of Salina; one daughter, Melody Witte of Topeka; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the Barnard United Methodist Church or the Barnard Lions Club.
A celebration of Marjorie's life will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at the Barnard United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery, Barnard. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. Memorials may be made to the church or the Barnard Lions Club.
