Marie L. Lee, 81, Tescott, Kansas, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis. Marie was born March 27, 1929 on a farm near Tescott to Jens and Lydia (Werries) Hansen.
Marie and Duane Lee were married on September 1, 1950 in Bentonville, AR. She was a telephone operator and a seamstress. She enjoyed doing crafts and custom made draperies. Marie was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tescott.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jeannie Marie.
Survivors include her husband Duane of the home; her daughters Terri Burroughs and her husband Eldon of Salina and Peg Nelson and her husband Jerry of Tescott; her brother Earl Hansen and his wife Marjorie of Salina; three grandchildren Trisha Burroughs, Jeana Stelter, and Teana Nelson; and seven great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Burroughs-Suter, Colter, Dalton, and Jesse Stelter, Jackie, Jamie, and Rachel Milleson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tescott. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis where the family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
