Obituary

Margaret A. Parsons, 94, Dodge City, Kansas (formerly of Minneapolis) died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City. She was born July 20, 1915 in Barnard, Kansas to Will and Ruby (Horn) Nelson.
She was united in marriage with Norman Parsons on March 25, 1935 and he preceded her in death on June 23, 2001. She and Norman raised their family in Ada, Kansas. Margaret was a homemaker and was known as an excellent seamstress. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Ada.
Besides Norman, she was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters; and her son-in-law, Bill Harris.
She is survived by two daughters; Fairy Ann Harris, Dodge City and Laurie Martin, Wichita; her sisters Alice Mae Boss of Eugene, Oregon and Edna Boss and her husband Bob of Bennington; six grandchildren, LeAnn Bailey and husband Bob, Dodge City, Scott Harris and wife Linda, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cindy Harris, Dallas, Texas, Shelly Lowe, Dodge City, Chuck Nondorf and wife Samantha, Concordia, Eric Nondorf and wife Melva, Belleville; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great- great grandchildren. Besides Norman, she was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters; and her son-in-law, Bill Harris.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Monday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Ada. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fairview Cemetery District or the church and may be left in care of the funeral home.
