Obituary

Lorena Sue Fraser, 67, Minneapolis, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born on June 17, 1944 in Clay Center to Loren and Eileen (McDaniel) Rock.

Lorena was united in marriage with Raymond Fraser on August 11, 1962. She was an office manager/agent at Ottawa County Farm Bureau for 35 years. Lorena was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Council of Catholic Women, and a local Faith Sharing group. She loved family gatherings, babysitting her great-granddaughter Kaegan, working in her flower gardens, and K.U. basketball.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters Patricia Jane Carver and Sandra Rush.

Survivors include her husband Ray of the home; her daughters Francine Sylvain (Emmanuel) of Kansas City, MO; Jennifer Fraser (John Hudson) of Minneapolis; her son Mark Fraser (Brenda) of Minneapolis; her brothers Frank Rock (Lana) and Raymond Rock (Janet) all of Marquette; her brother-in-law Jim Rush of Marquette; her granddaughters Krista Hardesty (Waylon), Kara Fraser, and Torree Sylvain; her great-granddaughter Kaegan Hardesty; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis where a prayer vigil and rosary will be at 7 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ottawa County or the Minneapolis Public Library.
