Lola E. Ahlquist, 104, Tescott, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. Lola was born November 19, 1917, in Okarche, OK to Frank and Mary (Spence) Shay - she was the youngest of seven children

After graduating from high school, she and Carl Eugene Ahlquist were united in marriage on August 13, 1938, in Minneapolis. She and Gene lived in Tescott all of their married life.

Lola was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Tescott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; her siblings; children, Charles, Charlotte, Joyce, and Alma; sons-in-law, Keith Roush, Bob Boyle, and Steve Wilson; and three grandchildren.

Survivors are her children, Allen and wife, Betty, Frank and wife, Linda, Rose Roush, Janice Tromble and husband, Larry, and Thelma Vaughn and husband, Mark; daughter-in-law, Barb Ahlquist; sons-in-law, Billy Farr and Loren Homier; 25 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren; and 49 great-great grandchildren with four on the way.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 13 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tescott.  Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott.  Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O.
