Obituary

Lois Marian Wild Wallace Wildman was born Nov. 16th, 1925 in Lincoln County to Albert and Nellie (Wormser) Wild. She grew up with 4 sisters, Dorothy, Pauline, Alma, Elsie Jean and 2 brothers, James and Bob. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943 and continued her education in Hays and McPherson. She taught in several country schools before marrying Keith Wallace on June 29, 1947. They began their married life farming with the Wallace brothers. In Minneapolis, they owned and operated Wallace IGA grocery store and raised their family. Keith died in 1971.
In 1980, Lois married long time family friend, Loyd Wildman. They were active in the Golden Wheel where Lois shared many of her talents including quilting. They enjoyed holidays and celebrations with their blended families. They traveled many places early in their marriage. Their 20th anniversary was celebrated with friends and family in 2000.
Lois was musically and artistically gifted. She spent her life loving her family and sharing her faith. She was devoted to all the activities of the First Baptist Church; Sunday School teacher, BYF leader, Christmas Program director, choir member, and American Baptist Women.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her first husband, an infant son, and 3 sisters, Dorothy, Pauline and Alma.
Those she left behind to celebrate her life are her husband, Loyd Wildman, her children: David (Linda) Wallace, Craig (Virginia) Wallace, Marilyn (Roch) Meier, Karen (Mike) White, and Janice (Larry) Papps. Other family: Kay Wildman, Lynne Maples, Terry Worthington, and Bob Worthington. Grandchildren: Rexanne Greuter, Jillinda Ansell, Trisha Johnson, Deryle Wallace, Daylan Wallace, Daren Wallace, Michael Meier, Michelle Meier, Melissa Meier, Matt White, Erin White, Joni White, Keith Papps, Rose Papps, Bruce Maples, David Maples, Renee Wohletz, Joy Thomas, Karen Wright, Lindsi Worthington, and Matt Worthington, a host of great-grandchidren, sister; Elsie Jean (Howard) Kelly and brothers; James (Betty) Wild and Bob Wild, many nieces and nephews and other family members.
Lois went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Sept. 13th, 2009.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M., Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Minneapolis with the Rev. Harry Fink officiating. Burial will be in Milo Cemetery, Barnard. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church where the family will receive friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
