Obituary

Lenna H. Moeder, 80, Salina, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 16, 2018 with her family at her side. She was born May 5, 1938 in Ottawa County to Joseph Emerie and Irene Inez (Harris) Williams.

After graduating from high school, Lenna attended the University of Kansas for one year. She and Willard Moeder were united in marriage on November 27, 1958. She retired from Philips Lighting in Salina after 31 years as a line operator.

Lenna enjoyed quilting with her group in Mentor, recording genealogy, K.U. basketball, praying, and traveling. One of her most memorable trips was traveling to Alaska with her sister Dorothy. Lenna's true love was God and her family. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Salina. She spent many hours there worshipping and thanking God for blessings, praying, studying at the Tuesday bible studies, and attending the Ladies Circle meetings. Lenna loved and cherished all her family. Her smile would light up the room when she would talk of how much she loved them. Her prayer of being at home with her family at the time of her death was answered.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard; and sisters, Marva Adee and Dorothy Williams.

Survivors include her daughter, Susanne Somers and husband Rob; son, Brent Moeder and wife Pam; sister, Karen Iselin and husband Bill; seven grandchildren, Robyn Clark (James), Morgan Dooley (Dustin), Jennifer Walters (Mike), Ashley Salazar (Mario), Genevieve Muck, Bridget Dossett (Jeremy), and Christopher Muck; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, August 19 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Salina. A rosary and vigil service will begin at 6:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 20 at the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.
