Lela Blochlinger, 94, Minneapolis, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. Lela was born July 27, 1928, in Aurora to Caliste and Evon (DeMars) Istas.

She was a graduate of Aurora High School and on December 30, 1946, she was united in marriage with Paul J. Blochlinger. They moved to Minneapolis in 1962. Lela worked various jobs throughout her life, but she was known for her excellent seamstress work that she did for many years.

Lela was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Catholic of Council Women, American Legion, and she was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Auxiliary #3201.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bernard, Medore, Norine, and John; husband, Paul; and son, Randal.

Survivors are her children, Gene, Judy, Debbie, Kevin, and Kelly; 13 grandchildren; and multiple great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 13 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 14 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SRL, Inc. Dog Rescue or the Veteran's Memorial and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O.
