LaVerne "Babe" Schroder, 87, Minneapolis, passed away March 27, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Society, Minneapolis.
Mrs. Schroder was born LaVerne Storms on July 16, 1922 in Des Plaines, IL. She married LeRoy Joseph Schroder on April 28, 1943 in Chicago, IL. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy in 1990; her son James C. Schroder in 1947; and her grandson Jeffery J. Schroder in 1986.
Survivors include her sons, LeRoy J. Schroder and his wife Kathy of Arvada, CO and Charles and his wife Terri of Salina; three grandchildren Deanna Schroder of Aurora, CO, Linnea Fouts and her husband Jessie of Colorado Springs, CO, and Matthew Schroder of Kansas City, MO; five great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Joseph, Cameron, Jacob, and Christopher; and her two sisters Tiny Black of Grand Junction, CO and Skippy Storms of Beloit, WI.
Visitation with the family will be from 3 – 5 P.M. Monday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis and may be left in care of the funeral home.
