Larry L. Weis, 73, Minneapolis, died Saturday, April 23, 2022, at his home. Larry was born December 23, 1948, in Salina to Howard and Mae (Eckels) Weis.

Larry was a graduate of Minneapolis High School and he served in the Army Reserves for seven years. He and Cecilia Doering were united in marriage on December 28, 1968, in Minneapolis. Larry was a lifelong farmer and he served on the Bennington Fire Department for numerous years. He also enjoyed being Santa Claus for many years in the area.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Art Weis and Wilma Fraser.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Cecilia; children, Charles "Chuck" Weis, Richard Weis and his wife, Lisa, Michael Weis and his wife, Faunett, Amy Weis, and Chanel Barrett; "adopted son", Evan Muller; brothers, Ron and Steve Weis; sisters, Norma Kisling and Ella Mae Hughes; and 16 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 29 at the Bennington Fire Station, 586 N. 180 ^th Road, Bennington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bennington Fire Department or Fresenius Kidney Care Salina and may be mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
