Obituary

Lamoine L. Baldock was born April 27, 1919, the son of Ray and Tess Baldock. He died December 29, 2011.

Lamoine lived on the Baldock family farm near Delphos all his life. He married his wife Thelma on May 6, 1955 in Enid, Oklahoma. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Africa, Sicily, France and Germany. He received a Medal of Merit for his outstanding service during the war. His passions were his guns, trap shooting and rifle shoots. He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association and the Kansas Trapshooting Association. He was very active in the Amateur Trapshooting Association and was president of the organization from 1989-1990. He also belonged to the Kansas State Rifle Association. He was a lifelong farmer and custom harvester for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma of Minneapolis; a daughter Tamara Odette and her children Brad Sherbert, Travis Dooley, Dallas Odette and Tessa Odette; an adopted son, Jack Merrill and wife Sandy; a stepdaughter Priscilla Carvin-Wright and her children Scott and Brian; a stepson Larry Zeeb and wife Judy and his children Cindy, Angela, Mitchell and Brandon; a sister, Maxine Wilkins of La Vista, Neb; and numerous great and great-great- grandchildren.

The funeral was held January 3 at Hall Wesleyan Church, rural Delphos.
