Conway, SC--.Dr. Keith E. Gawith, age 58, of Lander Drive, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at his residence.
Dr. Gawith was born in Newport, Rhode Island, a son of the late Lawrence Keith and Jean Dorothy Kent Gawith. Dr. Gawith enlisted in the U.S. Navy in November 1970 as a Hospital Corpsman. Commissioned as an officer in 1983, retired as a Lieutenant Commander in July 1996. He completed his B.S. degree at the University of Oklahoma and graduated from University of Oklahoma Medical School in 1986. Dr. Gawith served his internship and urological residency from 1988 to 1992 at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. In 1996 he became a partner of Coastal Urology Center, Conway, SC. Dr. Gawith served as Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery during his tenure at Conway Medical Center. He was actively involved with First United Methodist Church and volunteered for numerous positions and committees.

The siblings of Dr. Keith E. Gawith are conducting a memorial service for him at the Delphos United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Intermit will be immediately following the service at the Delphos Cemetery. Dr. Gawith, formerly of Delphos, died on April 17, 2010 at his home in Conway, SC. Siblings include brothers Jeffrey (Barbara) Gawith, Hesston; Victor (Marlene) Gawith, Minneapolis; Lorin (Amanda), Salina; sisters Susan G. Cooper (Randy), Minneapolis; Deborah G. Isbell, Salina; Karen G. Divilbiss (Jim), Solomon; Michelle G. Muehlberg (Bill), Salina.
