Kay M. Seymour Clements, 80, Minneapolis, met Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, December 20, 2020.

She was born Kay Winkler on October 19, 1940 in Randolph to Harold A. and Alyce Marie (Beckman).

Kay was the truest example of a woman of noble character. She was a radiating example of what it meant to be a daughter of Christ and was always on fire for the Lord. She was a prayer warrior and enjoyed time each day in her bible.

Kay's smile and genuine kindness will always be remembered by her family and friends, as well as her infectious, remarkable laughter. She was strong, independent, and never knew a stranger. Kay led her family by example, and the memories of times together are endless.

As a mother, Kay is remembered as a strong supporter of anything her children wanted to do. Not having much, Kay always made a way for her children to take on any hobbies or activities they wanted to try. She had a steadfast love that always covered and protected them. She was a safe place for her three kids to come to, and she showed abounding empathy towards them as she prayed for them, laughed with them, and left them sweet notes. She is remembered as a wonderful cook and her salmon loaf, creamed peas, and mashed potatoes were always a hit with Cindy, Culley, and Charae. Kay had so much pride as a mom, and that only grew as she became a grandmother.

Kay's grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her infinite joy. She loved playing games with them, traveling with them and to see them, snapping pictures of them, and was up for any adventure they had in mind. She even had a tattoo dedicated to her grandchildren. She blessed her grandchildren with so many fond memories -- such as getting Dairy Queen ice cream, singing to "The Lion King" soundtrack, giving huge squeezes, taking them shopping, spending holidays with them, and even vacationing with them. She was a shining example of what it meant to be innocently silly and a kid at heart.

Kay married her husband Ken later in life, but boy did they have fun. After being friends for many years, their shared love for Jesus and common life experiences led them to one another. After a family wedding in October 2017, they enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and going on adventures together. Lately, they've been loving their life together as Ken worked to remodel the old home on Spruce Street. Ken loved Kay genuinely and was everything her family had been praying for her to find.

Kay had many friends around town. She loved and always talked fondly of her Bennington Bible Study ladies. She was known for her sweet and sometimes raunchy cards that she sent to family and friends. Kay loved traveling to visit her dear friends in neighboring towns and states. She also enjoyed playing the piano at church. She especially loved playing duets with her sister Judy. She will always be remembered for the infamous nicknames she would give, her made-up words, her poor driving skills in that huge Lincoln, her willingness to ignore the dust on her shelves and dirty dishes in her sink, and her ability to forget the rules to what should have been well-known card games. Kay loved Jayhawk basketball, caring for her animals, working outdoors, and being comfortable in her pajama pants.

Kay radiated joy for all to see and her life truly touched so many. She led a full and prosperous life that has culminated in dancing through the pearly gates to celebrate eternally in the Lord's kingdom.

Survivors are her husband, Kenny Clements; children, Cindy (Mike) Perry, Culley (Cheryl) Seymour, and Charae (Bill) Little; step-children, Terri (David) Pritchard and Gary (Teresa) Clements; sister, Judy Olson; ten grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Ernest who died December 23, 1995.

Visitation without family present will be Sunday, December 27 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.  Private services for family will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday at the Bennington Bible Church.  Masks are required. The service will be live-streamed on Wilson Family Funeral Home's Facebook page. Friends are invited to the graveside services at approximately 3:15 P.M. at Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jo Nana Lunches (make checks payable to U.S.D. 239 and put Kay's name in the memo) and may be mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O.
