Katharine Marston, 98, Minneapolis, Kansas (formerly of Junction City) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 3, 2011. She was born April 28, 1912 in Geary County, Kansas to Ole and Katie (Amthauer) Olson.
Katharine was a member of the United Methodist Church in Junction City.
She was preceded in death by her husband James on August 28, 1975; her brothers John, Andy and Ole, Jr. Olson; and her sisters Lizzie Turnbull, Ellen Olson, Anna Feist, Christine Leach, Bollette Patterson, Emma Stormont, and Lucy Logan. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Kellie K. Wiggins.
Survivors include her son James D. Marston and his wife Sherry of Medford, Oregon and her daughter Sharon K. Stepanek and her husband Bill of Minneapolis; sister-in-law Anna May Olson of Council Grove; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday at the Community Bible Church, Minneapolis with the Rev. Doug Neumann officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. in the Dwight Cemetery, Dwight, Kansas. Viewing will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis and may be left in care of the funeral home.
