Jonas David Brown was born November 5, 1985, in Salina, to Rochelle Steinbrock and Mark Fox. On December 9, 2024, in Kansas City KS, he left this Earth and moved to his Heavenly home.

His childhood years were spent in Salina, Wichita, Trading Post, Tescott, and Minneapolis. As a young teenager, he was adopted by his Uncle Dwayne and Aunt Renda (Steinbrock) Brown and he gained sisters Jessica and Sarah, and a brother Jason.

Jonas enjoyed all kinds of animals, especially amphibious creatures. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time at the lake and trips floating down the river. Most of all his love and passion was for cool and fast cars. During high School at Minneapolis, he enjoyed and participated on the wrestling team. In 2003 he joined the Army National Guard and over the summer he completed his boot camp basic training at Fort Knox. He returned to Minneapolis to complete his senior year graduating with his class in 2004. In 2005, his National Guard unit was deployed to Iraq under the Operation Iraqi Freedom Campaign. It was his honor to serve alongside his military comrades in defense of our country. Upon his discharge from the service, Jonas settled in Topeka and later the Kansas City area where he was employed as a mechanic. In 2019 he met his true love Keegan Greenlee, and they began their life together and welcomed their son, Paxton, in 2020. Paxton was the joy of his life, and he loved him and Keegan beyond measure. He loved every minute of being a father, devoting his time in loving, nurturing, and teaching his son and watching him grow.

Keegan and Paxton loved Jonas immensely and though his physical presence is gone he is forever alive in their hearts and memories. Jonas had the biggest heart and smile he cared deeply about people and was always willing to help anyone. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family and friends and this loss is what will be felt and missed by those of us left to honor his life.

Those surviving Jonas are Keegan and their son Paxton; parents, Dwayne Brown and Renda Brown,  Rochelle Steinbrock and Mark Fox; sisters and brothers, Jessica, Sarah, and Jason Brown and Elisha, Teresa (Chris), and  Terry McCallum; grandmother, Dorothy Brown; niece and nephew,  Journey and George Monslow; and Terry McCallum and his family who Loved Jonas as one of their family. Also, many aunts, uncles, and cousins along with a host of friends, and military comrades.

Those who preceded him in death were grandparents, Dale and Donna Steinbrock, Garrett and Wilma Fox, Bill Brown, and Malcolm McCallum.

Jonas, we will keep you close in our hearts until that day when we will be reunited once again.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 24, 2025, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Memorial services with military honors will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Pathway Church, 845 Woodland Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Delphos. Memorials may be made to the Jonas Brown Memorial Fund and will be given to Paxton at a later date and may be left in care of the funeral home.
