Johnnie Randolph Tucker, 82, Minneapolis, Kansas, formerly of Enid, OK, was born October 27, 1929 in the Tracy Community of Milam County, TX. He was the 10th child of 11. He passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis.
Johnnie served 22 years in the United States Air Force and retired a master sergeant on March 1, 1970. He went to work for Northrup at Vance Air Force Base for the remainder of his working years.
He was united in marriage with Donna Marie Newman on December 14, 1951 and they were married for 49 years. She preceded him in death on September 5, 2000.
Johnnie was an avid bowler and a lifetime member of the Retired Enlisted Association. He was also a member of the Willow Road Christian Church in Enid. Johnnie loved children, especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his brothers, Giles "Howard" Tucker, Rufus "Teenie" Tucker, Ray Tucker, Preston "Bowie" Tucker, James "Red" Tucker, Murrel Tucker, and Doolie Tucker; and his sisters Verlie Ashley, Sudie Cass, and Mary Ruth Vybrial.
Survivors include his daughter Bonnie Corman and her husband Tom of Minneapolis; grandsons John Tucker Corman and Matthew Stephen Corman; granddaughter Bethany Jane Corman; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friend Rowena Geddes.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 11 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, OK with Pastor Tom Corman officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Willow Road Christian Church or the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis.
